Before we met my world was not so wide
If yet some ways I felt as good as lost,
But then you came and helped to turn the tide
And god knows well the rivers that I’ve crossed.
You mean far more to me than I could say,
Suffice to say that I would always try,
To think you add such wonders to my day-
The rainbow’s hues, the precious butterfly.
The mated soul is blessed beyond belief,
And I accept your presence as a plus:
Let time descend and come as might a thief,
It will not wrest eternity from us.
Before we met the set was incomplete,
But now you’re here the world is at my feet.
