mysterious starlight, once again

in my small apartment just filters in

with none of the paperwork signed off on

without approval from those with good lawns

mysterious starlight refreshes my soul

though I am not famous though I am too old

defying the scripts and the evening news

flowing forever in silver and blue

on clear nights or cloudy

an infinite stream

through my inner vision

from dream to dream.

without any judgement

without any rue

it glistens and listens

and sees me through

mysterious starlight oh

I love you.
