I
Animals have talons
That are hard and mucky
Sharp as a weapon,
Loyal for a deadly intent
To protect from peril for a living.
II
Humans have nails
Trimmed like a shrub
Benign and feeble
White as an ivory
Ornaments for the women.
III
We have nails in minds
Invisibly poisonous and scary
But occasionally appear
And destroy the targets
Without prior warning for safety.
