Nanango Sam Poem by keith brown

Nanango Sam

Nanango Sam

He came from Nanango
Sam, the waterman.
An easy going Larkin, who loved to lend a hand.
WWe met him at Boondooma.
The spirit of the bush, the water cart was stuck, and he came to lend a push.

As soon as it was moving and that old cart was loose
Well, Sam just took over delivering aqua juice!

Every single porta loo, camper, caravan! nothing was immune from Sam the waterman.

He took upon the task with a devilish delight.
Though we had a few complaints about delivery's late at night!

So it came as quite a blessing when the old pump just let go, why it stopped, well I guess we'll never really know!

Sam tried his goddamn hardest to get the thing to run, he was having such a good time, that was not so good for some!

He was last seen somewhere, searching for a 10ml spanner socket': whilst Richard wandered off with the spark plug in his pocket!
