Nature's Flight Plan Poem by Jean Dament

Nature's Flight Plan

I'm like a delicate butterfly that's passing through a hurricane;
As I struggle to take flight in the midst of the storm-I find it quite a strain,
Trying to attain some leverage where my wings & I can safely soar,
Sometimes the wind will lift me up higher to greater heights where I can explore;
While other times I'm beaten down so low, that I'm left in such a state of fright,
Realizing I might have been better off staying out of sight,
But nothing stops me from my journey in achieving to fly free;
As that's just what I'm striving to be,
On days when there's a gentle breeze you'll find me out enjoying some
fresh air;
And if per chance you catch a glimpse of me looking rather fragile by a flower fair,
Don't be concerned, as I am much stronger than I appear,
You see I have God's help with my flight plan guiding me onward with much less fear.

O Jean, this is just so beautiful! You write with a lovely ease. Got quite emotional on the last sentence. You are an inspired poetess.; D
