Need To Write? Poem by Airda Jones

Need To Write?

I have come to realize
That I stumble when I tell lies
But when I let it pour out
That's what its really all about

Not a collection to thumb through
Not words that claim you
But the words that fill you deep
The ones that make your secrets creep

A passage to the inside soul
That pieces together a human whole
Makes you wonder just why
About every single word that I try

Be it a sentence or
Just a single syllable word
Words speak louder than my actions
And if only by one, they'll be heard

The page is my closest friend
A relationship with no close end
Filled with comfort and empathy
Whenever I am in need.
