Needful Awakening Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Needful Awakening

Rating: 5.0

Long and hard
The bantering
Shook my eardrums
Drunken revelery
Had clamoured
Endlessly
A Celebration
Of Bacchus
Could cause
No worse
Debauchery
Lewd and
Lasvascious
Spouting out
Carnal inferences
Bent a little too
Far to the left
Leaning on
The near side
Of perversion
And making kinky
Look soft
I pulled myself up
Adrenalin fueled
Pushed through
The celebrant
Crowd
The din echoing
Ever louder
Heartbeating
Rapidly
Looking for a path
Urgently
A door
A way in or out
A needful awakening
Crawling and snaking
Myself through this
And all of this
Noisome mess
A light seemed to
Shimmer
In the dim
My eyes followed
It out
With heated fervor
And determination
My goal
To find a peaceful
End
To this nightmarish
Dream
That had enveloped
Inside my Soul

Theodora, I certainly hope you found a way out. The intensity and visual aspects of this poem were great. Top Marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
