Needless Pain Poem by Pauline Waweru

Needless Pain

Yours are the darkest of days,
Dress in black.

Your heart is laced with anger,
You are your own prisoner.

Pots of poison boil in you,
Festering wounds are in you.

The heavens have hidden their face,
No moon no stars for you.

In your cell there is no peace,
No love, no progress. Stagnant!

Alone is your new name.
Alone, Alone, Alone!
