Never Again Poem by H.M. Gautsch

Never Again

What a surprise,

what a vision.

It's been five years

Since we have spoken.

You look amazing,

I ain't even going to lie.

Looks like you're doing well,

But I see deceit in your eyes.

I've forgiven you,

But none of the past

Can be forgotten.

You used me for my money,

Used me for my intellect.

You tried to control me,

The rest of the history

is a domino effect.

Never again

Never again

Can I give you a chance.

Never again

Never again

can I give you that dance.

Too much pain,

Too much adrenaline

Pushes through my veins.

Too many storms,

Too much rain,

I've broken these chains.

Misery loves company,

My weather will remain sunny.

I've forgiven you,

But none of the past

Can be forgotten.

You left me at my worst,

You made sure I was broke,

And when I fell six feet below,

You made sure I was alone.

Never again

Never again

Can I give you a chance.

Never again

Never again

Can I give you that dance.
