Love is anguish
Love is hate
Is love still real
These things I must debate

I miss your laugh
I miss your smile
I wish you were here
For it's been awhile

Memories toil in my mind
As I lay here in bed
Of days long past
Of things unsaid

The nights I dreamt we shared
The things we've not yet done
I have no wishful regrets
Save for just one

I never said I love you
My feelings never shared
I looked you in the eyes
You never knew I cared

The days now long
The nights now cold
My love still with me
Even as I grow old

A chance to never hold you in my arms
A chance to never have you here with me
I will forever be restless
I will never be free
