Never Becoming One

My heart pounds more as I near you
Foreseeing the hurt
Or the laughter
It pounds for you

My sorrows turn angry by you
You cause the tears
You show me love
You bring the hurt

My soul grows weak waiting for you
But you and me
We’ll never be
You’re bound with her
For this I know
