Never Heard Poem by Larry Perry Sr

Never Heard

I was always seen but not heard never had a voice of my own to speak for others to hear me clearly

With ears to hear what needs to be heard with the new voice I found to speak what needs to be said from my own lips to your ears to hear

Nevertheless words will slip from my lips like never before and not like a little child first learning to talk

Words will never be silent again for the ears to hear from my mouth that never could speak the words that was never heard from these lips of mine

See the words as I speak as they flow from my lips that can't be seen clearly but can be felt from the heart rough or gentley

Take these words or leave these words I speak for myself that will never be silence again but the silent words that was once not heard from these lips will be heard loud and clear for now on by every man woman and child ears
