Never Learned Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Never Learned

Never learned

Did you see the movie?
(Cassidy, Sun-dance Kid!)

Well it was mostly lie
To say White is smart.

They were the result of
The US way of life…

What about Charles Dickens?
(He showed us Britain…)

Yet, trumpets shouted
"Brits have no sunset! "
"World's best is USA! "

History was teacher
With the pages open,
Nobody ever learned.

The First and Second Wars
Painted world with blood,
And melted fat in eyes
Atom bombs, Hiroshima's.

Everyone was lesson
For blind and the deaf
Or those with no brain.

Yet the so-called leaders
Lived in dark not to learn,
Kept adding to the arms
And making the cold war.

Open eye, look around
Stand and firmly shout
Down with the palaces
In which are politicians.

Time has come for you, I
To be wise, learn lessons.
