Never Look Down On Me Poem by Matt Starking

Never Look Down On Me

For who I am or who I'll be,
I may not fit your standards,
But I still have worth and dignity.

Don't think you're better,
Just because of your status or endeavor,
Success is relative,
And your arrogance is just a cover.

I may not have a fancy car,
Or live in a mansion afar,
But I have love and compassion,
And that's worth more than any luxury brand.

So don't look down on me,
But instead, try to see,
The person beyond the surface,
And treat me with equality.
