Nevermore Poem by alicia cross

Nevermore

Rating: 4.5

Being trapped in a billet-doux,
Feeling more in love by the letter;
Eager to read the rest,
But reading slow to comprehend;
The heart braking words creeping upon you,
As you're blinded with an explosion of love;
Gasping as you begun to explore the horrifying words,
That this love is never more;

Alicia, of all your poems this one is my favorite a simple flow with a tragic ending, someone's hopes for love are swiftly taken away please let me know if you submit anything new
