New Dawn's Rising Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

New Dawn's Rising

She, walked into view
cautiously, as he watched her
silhouette so fine...

as the lioness
does, during a long night's hunt
slowly prowling by...

each stride flaming hot
notoriously; my god!
thank you! for this view!

and for this vision
she turns to me, and then smiles
seductively smiles...

asks me for a light
and I share my smokes and wine
as the evening wanes

In Spain, when it rains
oh rare beauty; does it pour...
over top of me!

mesmerized IAM
and I quietly settle in
towards her welcomed wiles

and I, closely heard
that whispered questioning word
spend your daze with me?

Are you kidding me?
this is one man's fantasy...
dazed; with you and me!

then 'we' gather up
collect ourselves and walk toward
a new dawn's rising...
