New Year's Eve Poem by Pen Anthony

New Year's Eve

As the curtains close
On the year that was
I look back at the now
Heavier scale of memories
It was a good year

I end a happy year
With a promise of a happier one
So as the clock ticks
Waiting for the tock
At midnight

The new year's eve
Is the waiting area
At a delivery room
With the birth of a new year
It matches it in celebration
