New Year's Resolution Poem by Nudershada Cabanes

New Year's Resolution

Rating: 5.0

With each coming new year
New resolutions are made
New plans are pursued
New hopes brim in our hearts
Yet there's really nothing new
Just a transition from the old year to the new year
A matter of change in the number of the year
In a calendar as time spins away in its revolution
Like a spark that gradually fade
We fall back to the same routine
Do the same things we used to do
And life goes back to its usual pace
And the resolutions remain as they are
Change is not brought by the turning of the year
But by our willingness to change for the better
No matter at what time of year we are in

To trick to making New Year's resolutions is to make them realistic. But you are on target with your poem, Nudershada. We should be making realistic resolutions regardless of the time of year. Well done!
