Pursued
By a formless darkness
Watched
By its all seeing eye
Seduced
Into lethargic surrender
I’m being hunted
But I do not run
It chases, catches
Consumes, conquers
I fall apart
Piece by piece
A wisp of a whisper
A snatch of song
A sliver of starlight
A world of wrong
I come undone
From the inside out
I sense the danger
But still I stay
I’m courted by destruction
Caressed by shackles
Wooed with incantations
And loved by an addiction
