No Empathy Poem by C Jay Caputo

No Empathy

Oh sweet heroin, let me be
Please step back so I can breath
Close my eyes and go to sleep
Find my self so I'll find peace
When we all fall down
Who will set us free
Well we all fall down
So just let me be
The eyes-only sees what it wants to see
And it's been ages since they've seen me
I only see you, and every one else
I think that's the reason that I don't see my self
I once was told that an angel sent me
But my body and mind feel so empty
My heart and soul have no control
I live to die and don't know why
When we all fall down
Who will set us free
We will all fall down
So just let me be
And we all fall down
And there's No Empathy
We all fall down
And I'm just me
