No Foolin' Poem by ronald stroman

No Foolin'

i needed you to know
that this... is not a test
and what i did
i "baked" way before the sun came up.

i schooled a lot of fools
that needed to be fooled
out of recess & lunch money
when they refused to devour what I said
'cause i was the Teacher teaching
and really had no Principles
at school… to guide me

so... i guess had to do it.

no foolin'.

i worked these fools so hard
for breakfast
as well as explain to ‘em
there's no need to study to be stupid
that it became a hard gym lesson
that ran into over-time & detention
these students never knew
started as soon as they left home &
got on the school buswithout books

and when i paid
all those stupid fools no mind
as well as-
terminate their cafeteria time
those fools forgot about lunch
and that i was the deaf & dumb Teacher.

no foolin'.

by dinner
these idiots succeeded in not disappointing me
('cause these fools was hungry for knowledge)
when all those educated fools
got together to pay attention
& still didn't notice
that this was not the Cookin' Class.
