There is no law
which says:
when you grow up
you must
inhabit a world
devoid of fairies
the magic
is all around us
when we but keep
the eyes with which to see
there's a fairy
in every flower
a nymph
in every forest
every lake
and upon every mountain
stands a castle
inhabited by elven
kings, queens,
princes, princesses,
lords, ladies and knights
how the soul delights!
there is no law
denying us this sight
nor is there need
to write
each
for ourselves such
nonsense nonexistent rule
feel free
to let your mind
wonder where it will
enjoying all the wonders
this wondering will bring
the magic of being alive
