No Mate To Mate Poem by Agbola Oluseyi

No Mate To Mate

And I in my solitary state
Silently seeking a soul mate
That my soul could find solace
I sought and sought and found but none.

I desire always a thin voice beside me
Oh to rest in the halo of two breasts
A spotless skin, all to myself
With such a beauty radiating from within
To get her heart always yearning for me
And I sought again and found but none.

But not even one of these captivating birds
Yet desire my tree to lay its nest
I, goodly and godly a man
An ideal choice for an ideal mate
But I found in them all a Delilah friend.

And those Delilah fled quickly my Samsonic sight
Giving unto me no mate to mate
But for me a Queen is prepared
That I may patiently wait and be the King
Humm! My daily cry is of no mate to mate
When still in few kilometers to my only mate.
