No Need For You To Tell Us Poem by Francis Duggan

No Need For You To Tell Us

No Need for you to tell us we already knew
That millionaire writers are of the few
So many who aspire to be wealthy and famous in the wordsmith trade
Into obscurity quickly did fade
So many writers who daydream of wealth and fame
Never did become a great literary name
The reading public they failed to impress
And they feel disappointed in their lack of success
So many writers like visual artists disappointed that their dreams for them did not come true
And they feel that from life better things they were due
They did not achieve what they aspired to be
Of success in life for anyone never a guarantee
Few from writing ever know of wealth and fame
Only the few writers for themselves ever do make a name.
