Love finds us easily
But finding love is never easy
It's funny how easy it is
To point out what made you love
Then you set out to get them
They tell you they are seeing someone

If you're lucky
They're not seeing someone
You go all in
That's when you notice
That a shadow lingers
A past lover maybe

Sometimes the person you want
Is emotionally taken
By their ex lover or
A crush they wish paid them attention
So you embark on the gruesome task
Of trying to eject them out of their thoughts

Sometimes the person you want
Is married
You console yourself that
That they're not happily married
That you can be that happiness
That eludes them.
