No Place Like Rome Poem by Dean Meredith

No Place Like Rome

She
Truly beautiful
Lies on her back
In submission mode

He
Truly stupid
Lies on his back
In begging mode

They
Are both
Of the same skin
Taught to obey

We
Follow
Seeming truths
Fearing if we stray

All
Do as they think
Hoping for something more
So far so good

The sinner sinks
Into his own despair
Created by him and no other
And he is happy there
