No Rhyme Only Reason Poem by Alonzo Titus

There's no beginning that will not end
as time slips silently by,
we can only hope that while we're here
no tears will fill our eyes,
we hope that only good will find us
as we travel along our way,
and all the bad and evil things
will pass by another way.

If heavenly scenes are present at times
we hope to file them away,
so we can reach out and pull them in
on a dark or rainy day,
we look for ways to fill our hearts
with cherished memories
that will never pass,
and pray to Him that looks over us
to keep us close to the last.

It is my hearts greatest desire
that your life be filled joy,
weather you grew from a beautiful girl
or a puppy loving hunk of a boy,
I hope your life is filled with love
and all the good life can bring,
and that we'll stand together some day
and listen to the Angels sing.
