No Room To Wonder Poem by Phil Soar

No Room To Wonder

Rating: 5.0

I didnt expect her to just understand
How much it would mean to just hold her hand
When the deep mental anguish, has eroded my brain
And my feelings seem nothing, when they echo the rain

How the ageing of someone who feels so alone
Can mean nothing to those who seem chilled to the bone
And the remnants of anxiety, can increase and divide
When nobody sees, what then brain holds inside

To conquer your worries, takes an avenue of guilt
You no longer feel there's a life to be built
And then just for a moment, it can widen it's hold
Then remind of something you've always been told

Take a grip of discomfort, look forward and then
Ignore any doubts and just try to begin
Submit all your wonders to the pit of despair
And let others think, were you ever there.
