I’m weeping here in deep disgrace
Full sin and steeped in shame
I sought no time to seek God’s face
Although I knew His name
Eternity stands now before
Hell’s jaws are gaping wide
I may have entered Heaven’s Door
If not for foolish pride
If not for lust of worldly gain
Of fleeting pleasures gone
I lived my selfish life in vain
Without God’s only Son
I’d witnessed others call Him Lord
I laughed The Truth to scorn
So now I face God’s vengeful sword
Beyond the youngest dawn
I chose through life the devil’s path
I walked my selfish way
In Christ they’re free of Heaven’s wrath
And not condemned today
Before a righteous God I’ll stand
Before His judgement throne
Instead of Jesus’ helping hand
I’m weeping here alone
Death’s hand is not within the grave
Though now I yearn to die
Rejecting Christ who came to save
I stand condemned on high
I’ll hear of all the sins I’ve done
I’ll hear The Truth first hand
I’ll see the face of God’s true Son
And bow at His command
