Nor Did You Change - A Hindi Love Poem By Deepti Mishra In English Translation

The hours change from one to the next
The days change into nights
But my desire for you did not change
You are my destination still
I remember you year around
My pains did not change
I did not change. Nor did you change.

In those unfortunate days of my life
They tooK you away from me. I could not help
There were restraining me every day
Years have passed and nothing has changed
God is still the same old gold
My prayers did not change
Why I pray for you did not change
I did not change. Nor did you change.

The flames of desire I lit in you long ago
Are those flames of passion still alight in your heart?
The palace of memories that we built together
are there still some memories left of me there, my love?
I will not complain if they don't exist altogether
But I only want to say this to you -
My heart is still the same
My love for you did not change
I did not change. Nor did you change.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Aur Na Tum Badle - Poem by DEEPTI MISHRA

Yun to badalne ko peher badalte hain
din badalte hain aur raat badalte hain.
Per na meri aankho ke manzar badle
na teri yaad ke mausam badle
na ye dard badla na hum badle
Aur na Tum badle..

Kuch halaat the aise wo jo le gae tumhe mujhse door
kuch thi bandishein aisi jo ker gai juda hone ko majboor
Per barson baad bhi, na mera khuda badla,
na meri ibadat badli, na meri ibadat ki wajah badli...
na hum khud badle
Aur na mere lie Tum badle...

Jo chirag tumhare dil me apni chahat ke maine jalaye the kabhi
kya ab bhi un chirago me lau baki hai?
Jo yaadon ka gharonda bnaya tha milke sang humne
Kya us ghar me meri yaad abhi baki hai?
Agar na bhi baki raha ho kuch to koi shikwa nhi mujhe
per ye dil kehta hai...ki nahi kuch nhi badla..
Na un beete lamho ki kasak badli..na hum badle
Aur na tum badle...
