Not Alone

Like all before, she had a choice
To whom her knee would bend
But when she heard His quiet voice
She knew she’d found a friend

He loved her though her heart was wrong
When sin yet held her blind
But now in love she sings her song
Since Jesus changed her mind

Her heart is right her soul is free
Her mind is trained above
Her eyes at last the truth can see
Through Jesus’ perfect love

Inside she feels Salvation’s flow
Long gone life’s doubts and fears
Praying, she feels the warmest glow
Shedding her joyful tears

Though alone within her house
Though arduous years she’s spent
Though middle aged without a spouse
She serves her Lord content

For though she lives yet on her own
Amidst the maddening crowd
No longer does she feel alone
Since Jesus love endowed

Ecstatic wearing a shining gown
A smile upon her face
Upon her head life’s golden crown
And God’s eternal grace

Daily abroad her voice is heard
The world can hear her sing
With joy dispensing God’s true word
Upon Salvation’s wing.
