Not Finished Yet Poem by Alfred Ramos

Not Finished Yet

You were but a droplet
In my storm
But we are not finished yet
Before you become a snowflake
In my dream
You will germinate my life
Into a new form
You were a ray of light
That lit my wayward path
Though everything isn’t black or white
Before you are swallowed by the night
You will open the eyes of the world
And eliminate my inevitable wrath
You were a beautiful sunflower
In my warm garden
But we are not finished yet
Before you spread your seed into the wind
Forgive me for my mortal sin
And don’t let my soul become harden
You were the love of all time
It’s no mistake
But before we see a true miracle
I want you to know
We are not finished yet
I will not let you forget
You made my life so magical
No matter what I do or say
You became a bouquet on display
And beyond the stars is heaven’s gate
And I don’t want you to be late
