Not Just My Dreams Poem by Heather Stratton

Not Just My Dreams

Fingers through my hair;
Arm around my waist;
Love is everywhere;
No time to waste;

The way you hold me;
The way my heart beats;
The way you wisper in my ear;
And tell me everything I want to hear;

Do you see my face?
The way my nose scrunches;
The way my eyes roll back;
The way I'm so comfortable with you.

I wish this would happen.
For real not just my dreams.
I wish you would love me.
Like I have always loved you so.

But we all know wishes are not real.
We all know wishes are a waste of time.
I know your love will never be mine.
And you know things that should be of my knowing.
