Not Right Poem by Francis Duggan

Not Right

Since he cannot forget or he cannot forgive
He will carry his grudges for as long as he live
He has had a bad childhood by some it is said
Whilst others say he is not right in the head.

Not right in the head well that may be right
Well into his fifties and still looking for fight
He does not take drugs or drink alcohol so what is his excuse
Perhaps it is true in him there's a screw loose.

A bully and liar who believes his own lies
Some people grow older but they do not grow wise
And no fool like an old fool some are known to say
Though people like him one doesn't meet every day.

For little at all he flies into a rage
Some as they grow older they do not act their age
He won't build you up but he will push you down
And there's one or two like him in every small town.
