Not The Best I'Ve Ever Had Poem by Michelle Dickson

Not The Best I'Ve Ever Had

You know?
You weren't so bad,
But you weren't
The best I've ever had.
My heart's burnt
Because of a lad
And I've learnt
That wasn't the best I've ever had.

You cheated
And you lied
Took my heart
And I sighed
Because I know
You lied
I just didn't want to believe it.

I take that back
What I said earlier
You were bad
And you're still not
The best I've ever had.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My last boyfriend cheated, lied, and I know that I deserve better than that. No one deserves to be cheated on and liet to. End of Story.
