Now I Understand (2)

Rating: 5.0

“I need to drink Salvation’s Wine
I need Your guiding hand
Forgive my sins O God divine
For now I understand

It’s true I turned my back on You
It’s true I walked away
This wayward child now kneels anew
With heart and soul I pray

The world my God I tried once more
Again I bought it’s wares
I’ve searched on many foreign shores
But found that no one cares

I come to You without a plea
Save hear my contrite heart
I know my God; from Christ You’ll see
This child, will no more part

With You can no one play the fool
There’s none can live a lie
We must obey Your every rule
Until on earth we die

Until through faith we rise once more
In Jesus’ strength we stand
Until we enter Heaven’s door
And dwell Your Promised Land

I know too well I’ve acted dumb
Don’t take from me Your Light
Don’t turn Your face when now I come
Restore my robe of white

I’ve now removed the proud man’s mask
These eyes can see my need
Your mercy Lord is all I ask
Your grace, I humbly plead”…
