The click, click, click of your keys.
Is music to my ears.
You make the world so far away
somehow feel so near.
Your letters, scrambled widely across this black board,
May seem so senseless and small
but to me they’re so much more.
I see every letter as complex stories-
Filled with mystery and glory.
Each with a different way to twist and curve.
Each with a different purpose to serve.
All little parts of the little words we know.
That form these big ideas that flow
You body- I have memorized.
Your soul has got me mesmerized.
Without you my thoughts could never retrace.
My words are sent to this printed page,
with you and my fingers as my worthy bridge.
Reaching across, extending the ledge.
