Of Intolerant People Poem by Francis Duggan

Of Intolerant People

Of intolerant people in the World quite a share
But their type one can say have never been rare
Those who are different to them they find it hard to tolerate
They are one might say quick to discriminate
There are quite a few of them in every village and city and town
Quick in their words for to put others down
Of more of their sort the Human World is not in need
Tolerance is such a great gift indeed
To those different to them in an understanding way they cannot to relate
And in a negative way to them differentiate
In the minds of most intolerant people racism reside
Their sort are well known as the instigators of racial divide
Every tolerant person should be singled out for praise
Since hope for the betterment of humanity they always raise.
