...Of What Cannot Be... Poem by Harlequin Rose

...Of What Cannot Be...

Rating: 4.5

A sultry summer night
you're sweating in places
I would love to kiss
and breathe you into my senses
and carve out obscene shadows
in the pale moonlight
I can taste the temptation
moving in the air
intimacy threatens
a touch is unworthy
so I watch you with dying eyes
my gaze is held in your own
a tender forbidden communication
a lifetime is lived in that moment
but a love is lost
and we both know it.
