Oh That Brain...



being inside, yet feeling
outside...
sitting in a room full, yet feeling
empty...
wanting warmth and light;
knowing only dark
and cold.
struggling to stay above water
and desiring to
sink,
sink,
slide into the cool depths
and sleep.
fighting to stay aware;
still yearning to
hide...
hide
away from the light.
the beautiful light-
the light of inclusion-
the light of knowing,
without the mind's insistence
that it's not...
deserved
(you're not good enough)
