It was a sunny day
The sky looked brighter than ever
As if she had put on extra blue
To impress her lover
And happier even to see birds in her bosom
Playing acrobatics spectacular
And with defenceless consonant
Striving to touch height greater
Beneath stars of earth in pleasure and play
Nodding as breeze goes by
And as undisturbed
And as tranquil as the sky
And the brook hurrying away
Pouring sweet strain of music in the air
To see if the weary sea after hush and whisper
Was sleeping beside the river
To dream of divining the leisure of eternity
In her soul
And in her path
To salvation
Oh! What a day
Me God chose to be accompanied by her
To my new home of future
Bedecked with Eden's flowers

i like the celebration in this, deepak. it reminds me of one of my favorite poems, the sonnet by e.e. cummings that begins, i thank you, God, for most this amazing day... if you don't know it, i think you'll like it. it also reminds me of my much briefer reference to sky and a beautiful day in my poem, dolphin dream. -glen
