Oklahoma Homesteaders Ii Poem by John McCornack

Oklahoma Homesteaders Ii

Rating: 2.0

Slowly that great wheel of our life continues to turn
As somewhere a sunrise or sunset continues to burn
While pioneers searched for ways to reduce stress
Creating ways to build homes and barns with less

The homesteaders worked hard as they moved west
And for their family life they gave it their very best
Striving to make enough money to fill their banks
It is for their tremendous effort we all give thanks
