Old Age Couple Poem by Jaipal Singh

Old Age Couple

With his advancing age
He has so easily reconciled
With the receding hairline
And thinning of silky dark hair
Growing numbers of his lenses
Cavities in teeth and miserable gums
After all, it's inescapable in life
Which every soul has to endure!

But knowingly or unknowingly
Ignorant of this truth of life
She is whining all the time:
Oh! My tooth is aching
I can't see things as before
My hairs look gray and clumsy
And why joints are so painful,
Giving him really a hard time.
