On Norms 65th Birthday

To a woman s ordinary
With character extra ordinary.
You open your arms to accept rejects,
Fighting odds to make them fell they’re not objects.
You have a unique humble ways to instill hope,
Many students can appreciate and cope.
You have taken parents’ hopelessness,
Lessons we learned from your graciousness.
For you nobody is out of reach,
Small gentle words is what you preach.
Even parents seek it and blessed with your friendship,
I remain a friend redefining kinship.
You have given me a gift,
Not the kind with ribbons but it gives my soul a lift.
Now I am giving you this honor,
Because you made me realize my valor.
For me life is what we make it,
But it is better if there’s a friend who help you bear it.
