On The Outside Looking In Poem by Sarah Wilson

On The Outside Looking In

On the outside looking in
I feel uncomfortable in my skin
Will I be noticed?
If I laugh along in earnest?
Can I cross the threshold?
Be brought into the fold?
What to do to be accepted?
My personality altered?
I will pay to join
It is worth the coin
Always destined to look herein
On the outside looking in
