On The Street Of Regret Poem by David Harris

On The Street Of Regret

In a bar, a lonely person sits
trying to drink their troubles away.
Some are there for lost loves
others for the loss of someone
very dear to them
and some just gather for the company
to help pass the time away.
Some are depressed
at the way life has gone
and the bottle seems the only solution
to right that every wrong.
They all gather in the bar on the street of regret
and drink away the hours
hoping the world to forget.
