On The Verge Of April Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

On The Verge Of April

Rating: 5.0

Yes, I know it's the cruelest month
But I can't help smiling for the robins,
And chickadees are singing in the rain
The winter has been up and down
However, I don't want to wait for a good day
To take a walk with my dog
Either it's -40 below or a snowstorm is coming
That makes me tired and melancholy
I want the warmth of the sun on my face
And not wear a coat and toque
I am weary that I must wait until May
to don my Easter clothes
