ON THIS DAY MANY YEARS AGO! ! !(Oct.1st)

On this day many years ago!
Our forefathers finally demolished their fears;
After several years in pains and tears;
How they fared till then, no man cares;
As they were forced to work under threats of guns and spears.

On this days many years ago!
Our forefathers finally attained the height of a god;
After years of fighting and toiling in mud;
They used their courage to conquer guns and swords;
And ended up having a place to call their world.

On this day many years ago!
Our forefathers rejoiced and sang so sweet and loud;
After soaring high and strong like eagles in the cloud;
They danced around in large bands of crowd;
As the victory of liberty now makes them proud...
