Just one, that’s all I want
hold me in your arms
and tell me I’m not,
just another

I want to make you happy
I want to make you mine
I want to be with you
just once, one time

Hold your heart next to mine
for a night
for a day
for all time

I want to tell you
that you have saved me
I didn’t think I’d love again
because of those who betrayed me

you have taught me my heart
beats not but one beat
instead it’s a thump
that’s I can feel in my feet

it pounds and it aches
when you talk about them
the ones who hurt you
but gave life a bend

I want you
I need you
I love you
and believe you

If you tell me you love me
I believe you
and if I think that you’re lying
then I’d wish it were true

Hold me now
hold me tight
a wonderful morning
but a more beautiful night
