I thought he was the one
for me.
He was my first kiss,
I decided to give myself
to him.
He was my everything
I let him in
He knows everything about me,
And I know everything about him.
We were the best of friends.
I could tell him what was wrong
And he would talk to my soul.
The hair on the back of my neck
would raise up with just one look
at me.
He was my love.
Then one day
it was just like the other days
until I found out
the one thing that I thought
would never happen
He cheated on me
And my heart broke in half just like that
never knowing if I would love again.
I could not look at him
for it hurt so much. I asked him why
the only thing I got was
'It runs in my genes, I can't help it.'
I wented back to him
in the next few months
just to be firends
because there was something inside of me trying to hold on to him.
Now that I have found
a new love he will not even look at me
And I don't care
For I have finally learned to let him go
and found a new love.
